Same-sex marriages are increasingly common, citizens are enjoying a recent large cut in taxes, organ donation rates are among the lowest in the region, and organ donation rates have hit a new low. Crime is a major problem. Jus Sanguini's national animal is the snake, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the denarius.
