The Empire of Deathunter is a very large, pleasant nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 128 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.
The enormous, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 23%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.
Gun ownership is compulsory, society and government have been organized according to a feudal hierarchy, flash floods that dams could have controlled regularly ravage small towns in mountain valleys, and reports of attacks by bright purple sixty-foot high spiders have recently shot up. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Deathunter's national animal is the lobster, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Khan.
