Welcome Edumen

We welcome The Incorporated States of Edumen (, a United Nations member, as the 165th member nation state in 01 Eastern Roman Empire Region.

The Incorporated States of Edumen is a huge, economically powerful nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 559 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 92%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Trout Farming industries.
Parents live in fear of governmental 'child protection' squads, a ban on unsolicited cold calling in all forms is in effect, major internet servers have acquired citizenship and are voting in national elections, and the government has started a campaign to crack down on road rage and encourage alternate means of commuting. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Edumen's national animal is the faisca, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the edueuro.
